SUPPORTING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) PROJECTS
(Volunteerism, leadership on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) projects and global initiatives)
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) PROJECTS. Like UNITAR, big employers or companies do engage in CSR activities for various reasons. We invite industry partners and employers to partner and collaborate with UNITAR for our students and staff to be engaged in meaningful, impactful, and inspiring community projects that cultivates volunteerism, leadership work particularly on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance); DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) and Circular Economy (CE) projects:
(i) Ethical Responsibility: Many companies believe they have a moral obligation to contribute positively to society, which includes supporting education, environmental sustainability, social welfare, and community development.
(ii) Enhancing Reputation: CSR initiatives can improve a company's reputation, demonstrating that they are socially conscious and care about more than just profits.
(iii) Employee Engagement: Engaging in CSR can boost employee morale and engagement, as employees often prefer working for companies that are socially responsible.
(iv) Risk Management: CSR can help manage risks related to regulatory compliance, public perception, and stakeholder relations. Let each faculty and school partner with one employer, one radio and television station, and one news media organization.
Let us collaborate and partner in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or University Social Responsibility (USR) initiatives with your company, associates, subsidiaries, and corporate friends that will expand our reach and impact. Our shared goals includes:
(i) Making a positive impact on society and the environment;
(ii) Strengthening relationships with stakeholders like customers, employees, investors, and communities;
(iii) Enhancing both brand reputation and that stand-out in the market;
(iv) Contributing to sustainable development and long-term societal well-being.
A great example of CSR initiatives with big multinational and successful employers is when they offer educational opportunities such as scholarships, and funding for all our teaching and learning in developing future talents for future of work. This helps in enhance the skills, competencies, aptitude, and employability of our students. Additionally, students can network with professionals at CSR events, gaining valuable contacts and career insights. Involvement in CSR activities also gives students real-world experience, improving problem-solving skills and fostering social responsibility. Many companies prioritize hiring socially responsible individuals, giving our students an advantage in the job market.
Another impactful CSR example is when a company partners with UNITAR to provide coaching, mentorship, or job shadowing programs. Employees from the company guide and support students, offering resources, career advice, and networking opportunities. This collaboration benefits students by providing them with valuable insights and support as they navigate their academic and professional journeys, and for our students to know early their future employers.
We look forward to your contribution in developing our future talent in all your CSR, ESG, DEI, and CE project initiatives.
